Statement Of Condemnation

A Statement of Condemnation from Lawsfield regarding the UN Security Council Resolution No: 2803

The UN Security Council issued Resolution 2803 on November 17, 2025, regarding the ending of the "conflict" between the State of Palestine and Israel. This resolution stipulated welcoming the plan presented by US President Donald Trump regarding ending the "conflict" and praised the countries supporting this resolution. The Council welcomed the establishment of a "Peace Council" as a transitional administration with independent legal personality and the establishment of an international stabilization force.

The Security Council is mandated by all member states to maintain international peace and security in accordance with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. This Charter gave the Council extraordinary powers to carry out its work, granting it the right to take military and non-military measures. When reading history, we find that the Security Council exercised these powers and imposed a siege on Iraq in 1991 during the invasion of Kuwait. So why does it not intervene now and impose a siege on the brutal Zionist entity of Israel? The Council intervenes when it wants and stands idle when it wants. Its criteria for intervention to maintain international peace and security are nothing but ink on paper. This demonstrates its double standards, which reflect racism and the inhumanity of Western politics.

Acquiescence to this resolution leads to rejected consequences, which are:

  1. Acquiescence to the genocide committed by the Zionist entity by considering it a party whose political interests are prioritized in the resolution.
  2. Acceptance of the Israeli narrative regarding the 7th of October, which specialized international committees, media investigation teams, and teams belonging to humanitarian organizations on the ground have undertaken to refute and question repeatedly.
  3. Ignoring the provisions of International Humanitarian Law, which dictates that the conflict between Palestinians and the Zionists has not stopped since 1948.
  4. The resolution carries no guarantees for the Palestinian people regarding political or international representation and deprives the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination.
  5. The resolution restores the situation politically to how it was before the genocide, which means authorizing the Zionist side to continue the occupation activities it was carrying out.
  6. The resolution places the responsibility of governing Gaza onto an international body supported by countries favoring the Zionist side, without stating any timeframes for the transfer of power, raising fears of that body cooperating against the interests of the Palestinian people.
  7. The resolution involves cooperation with figures and institutions accused of committing genocide, making the Security Council a partner by overlooking that genocide.
  8. The resolution entrenches the Security Council's violations of the UN Charter precedent to its tasks, especially regarding maintaining international peace and security and guaranteeing the right to self-determination.

This resolution is an international disgrace. The Security Council, which is supposed to maintain international peace and security, stands helpless before the Palestinian cause and, quite coldly, accepted the US President's proposal to stop the "state of conflict" as he described it. This is a clear and explicit submission to American hegemony. The Council's welcoming of the establishment of a Peace Council for transitional administration is shameful, and even more shameful is its establishment of an international stabilization force. If the Council can establish such a force, we ask: why did it not establish a similar force to deter occupation attacks? The Council authorized to maintain international peace and security is working to legitimize genocide or establish an occupation force under the name of the Peace Council! This Council is nothing but an occupation under a new name, and the international community's acceptance of it is nothing but a public falsification of history.

The same international community that agreed to law-making treaties stands idle today when they are breached. The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which the community agreed to, states in its preamble: (... recognizing that at all periods of history genocide has inflicted great losses on humanity; and being convinced that, in order to liberate mankind from such an odious scourge, international co-operation is required.) So, what is the matter with nations today? This convention was legislated to stop the crimes of extermination that happened against the Jews (the Holocaust), where the international community sympathized with them to the utmost degree. But what is the difference between what is happening to the Palestinian people now and what happened with the Jews? Both peoples were killed! The result is the same, but the methods are different. The Jews were burned before the international community, which did not stand idle but legislated a complete convention for their sake! But in the State of Palestine, everyone stands idle, and the most they have offered is denunciation and condemnation!

We, Lawsfield Platform, today do not announce our denunciation and categorical rejection of what is happening in Palestine by the brutal entity; rather, we announce a state of mourning for the death of humanity in all countries of the world. Since the dawn of history, the international community has not moved a muscle regarding what is happening in Palestine, and massacres against them have continued since 1948. What is happening in the State of Palestine has exceeded the description of war crimes and reached the stage of systematic genocide of an entire people and an entire state under the eyes of the entire international community. We stand today before a witnessed crime, complete in its elements, and the killer in it is known, but who has the courage to arrest them?

The Security Council has worked through the United States to protect the Zionist entity and transformed into a platform to justify the systematic genocide of the Palestinian people. The Western countries that claim to protect human rights have been exposed before their peoples; the lie of protecting human rights and democracy has appeared. These countries have gone further than that, as they obstructed the arrival of the "Convoy of Steadfastness" to Palestine. Is this the behavior of countries calling for human rights? As for the Arab countries and their governments, they are busy with normalization as usual; they have not and will not offer the people of Palestine anything but "denunciation, condemnation, deploring, and rejection," and this is nothing new for them. The strange thing that will not happen is the Arab countries providing assistance to Palestine beyond deploring and denunciation.

We in Lawsfield Platform pledge to call things by their names and to support the Palestinian people with what we possess of voice, aid, and knowledge. Denunciation is for us, the civil society organizations; if no one remains but us to provide assistance, it is a black mark that will stand next to the rights of the Palestinian people in the face of any recognition of the utility of international law or its protection of human rights.

For the testament of blood cries out: Resist.

In the night, they knocked on every door...

Every door... every door.

And they implored us not to heap dust upon the precious blood.

Their eyes, extinguished to enkindle us, spoke in reproach:

"Do not bury us with anthems; immortalize us with steadfastness.

For we are enriching the soil for the buds of the new light."

Mahmoud Darwish "Eyes of the Dead on the Doors" following the Kafr Qasim Massacre, in 1956.
